In the context of rising demand for woodchip and timber import–export activities, optimizing cargo-handling capacity at ports has become increasingly important. To enhance operational efficiency, Phú Thái Global (PTG), in collaboration with LEC Vietnam Joint Stock Company, has deployed and operated the Liebherr 934 at SPPSA International Port, marking a new advancement in the woodchip logistics chain.
This cooperation not only improves handling productivity but also establishes a synchronized, unified, and sustainable operational foundation across the entire ecosystem.
1. A Seamless Partnership Between LEC and PTG
The Liebherr 934 at SPPSA is operated under a closely coordinated model between LEC and PTG, covering dispatching, operations, data recording, and system management. This synchronization enables:
- Faster unloading of woodchips and timber for PTG & LEC
- Reduced vessel and barge waiting times
- A more seamless, stable, and transparent logistics flow
LEC’s technical team and PTG’s operations staff continuously supervise performance to ensure the equipment operates safely, meets productivity standards, and complies with SPPSA Port requirements.

2. Impressive Throughput – Under 10,000 Tons Achieved in October
Thanks to optimized operation of the Liebherr 934, handling volume in October and November reached nearly 10,000 tons, surpassing initial expectations.
This result demonstrates not only the capability of the equipment but also the smooth coordination between the two units across every stage—from receiving to unloading, transport, and warehousing.

3.Faster Unloading – Quicker Barge Turnaround – Optimized Efficiency
The deployment of the Liebherr 934 at SPPSA has created a clear breakthrough, showcasing greater flexibility in cargo handling. This ensures continuous cargo flow, reduces congestion, and significantly enhances service capacity for both LEC and PTG.
